Specialised Leadership Activity
This programme will support emerging community leaders from diverse groups including young people, women, men and minority communities, to build the skills and confidence needed to tackle challenging issues.
Through targeted leadership activities and training, participants will explore topics such as extremism, equality, positive use of social media, effective communication and community engagement.
The programme aims to develop a new generation of confident, inclusive community leaders, building on the legacy of those who helped create and sustain peace in the post-Good Friday Agreement era.
Equipping today’s emerging leaders with the skills to shape stronger, safer and more connected communities for tomorrow.
About Evolve NI
Evolve NI supports communities to grow, connect and thrive. Evolving from Sperrin Cultural Awareness Association, the organisation builds positive relationships, strengthens communities and supports long-term peacebuilding and sustainable change.
Through partnerships, community-led initiatives and restorative programmes, Evolve helps build trust, reduce division and tackle isolation and disadvantage. It creates accessible opportunities for people to develop skills, confidence and leadership, with a particular focus on young people at risk of marginalisation.
By developing local leaders, strengthening organisations and supporting community hubs, Evolve helps ensure that positive change grows from within communities and continues for the future.
At Evolve NI, positive change begins with understanding.
‘Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn’.
